"What is the craziest thing you've done to impress a guy."

Whoever said the quest for love wasn't comical never met Charlene Randall. Charley is looking for a man who wants to start a family, a man who will take her to the temple. Problem is, she has never dated a man for longer than three months. When she reads an internet article called "Ten Ways to Win Your Man," she decides to try it on her new coworker, Maxwell Harrington. Max was her crush in high school, but the superstar sports anchorman doesn't even remember her. Enter ladies' man Damien Giovianni, Charley's handsome neighbor, who agrees to help her win Max over. What follows is a hilarious tale of mishaps and misunderstandings where Charley learns that what she really needs may be right in front of her.

  1. The craziest thing I have ever done to impress a guy was go on this extremely long date to the mountains and I acted cool the whole time. It happened in the summer when it was 115 degrees outside. We loaded into this huge old van that had holes in the bottom of the vehicle. I remember looking down and seeing the street beneath me as I sat in the car. The windows also did not roll down and there was a tiny fan that did nothing to cool the car down. The driver (a friend of the guy I liked was driving like a maniac.) We drove for 4 hours and got lost trying to find some hiking trail. For more than three hours I thought I was going to throw up. It was also my time of the month so I was not feeling well. When we finally arrived to the place that they were trying to find we got out of the car and hiked. By the time I got out of the car from the long drive I was ready to go home. After hiking for a couple hours to a small river I realized that my date had brought no food. I never said anything and just smiled and tried to be happy even though I was tired, hungry and feeling sick. When we finally got back to the car we drove home in the oven and I noticed that all the guys in the car were sweating profusely. I never wished for air conditioning so bad in my life as the smell was horrible. I got car sick again and watched the clock till we got home.

  2. Our singles ward was having a date auction. I planned a date consisting of things I was positive would get the attention of the guy I wanted to go out with; cooking breakfast over a campfire at a local fishing stream, then a trip to the local zoo, then a picnic lunch. (He kept fishing gear in the trunk of his car at all times, and frequently used his annual pass to the zoo.) Unfortunately, he didn't even show up to the activity. Some other guy I didn't even know won my date package. We ended up married!

  3. On a first date with a guy to a burger place, twenty Hell's Angels drove in. My date started shaking and wanted to leave. I insisted on staying. The group got their burgers and drove off. My date had turned very pale and started stuttering. He later asked me out to a formal dance.
